Raynaud’s phenomenon is characterized as episodic, paroxysmal vasospasm and ischemia of the extremities. It is due to an imbalance of vasodilatation and vasoconstriction factors. Due to its unique pathogenesis, Raynaud’s phenomenon can be treated both medically and through osteopathic manipulation.
