Creating an osteopathic community with education at its core
International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine
This editorial kicks off the second of two sets of articles on education in the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine. Norwegian author Stephen Tyreman, DO (United Kingdom), and US author and AAO member Tyler C. Cymet, DO, argue that understanding education is relevant to all practitioners whether or not they are involved in the formal education of students or in continuing professional education. A strong argument can be made for health care professionals to think of themselves as «educationalists» as they educate themselves, their patients and their patients’ bodies.
