RESUMEN.
Este trabajo es un ensayo clínico con el que se pretende comprobar si existe variación en la presión arterial (PA) tras la realización de una manipulación de la primera vértebra lumbar (L1) y si se mantiene pasada 24 horas.
También se quiere observar si hay cambios en la presión arterial al realizarse la técnica por diferentes terapeutas. La población objeto de estudio está compuesta por 20 sujetos normotensos sin patologías y con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 30 años.
Tras analizar los resultados obtenidos, concluimos que existe un descenso significativo de la PA tras la aplicación de la técnica y que este descenso se produce de forma inmediata y se prolonga al menos durante 15 minutos, tras los cuales la PA comienza a remontar. La variación en la PA no se mantiene pasadas 24 horas. Observamos también que no hay una diferencia importante entre la aplicación por distintos terapeutas.

ABSTRACT
This piece of work is a clinic essay which is intended to test if exists variation in the blood pressure after carrying out a manipulation of the first lumbar vertebra (L1) and if keeps after twenty four hours. Also we want to see if there are changes in the blood pressure performing the technique by different therapists. The study population consists of twenty normotensive characters without pathology and aged between eighteen and thirty years.
After analyze the results, we conclude that exists a significant decline of the blood pressure after the application of the technique and this decline occurs immediately and lasting at least fifteen minutes, after them the blood pressure begins to ascend. The variation on the blood pressure do not keep after twenty four hours. We also note that there is not an important difference between different therapists applications.
