  ABSTRACT

When working with eagles as a vet it is usually necessary to count on an assistant’s help to hold the eagle. As osteopaths we think that this grabbing allows us to accomplish a research about the touching and the possible modification of the objective parameters in these birds, in this case, the Bonelli’s eagle (Hieraaetus fasciatus).

In the research, the touching has been done on the one hand with the intention of feeling what happens under our hands, we have appreaciated the modifications that have taken place in relation to the Heart Frequency.

The statistical study shows and confirms us that the touching is an efficient procedure and there’s a drop of the parameter of Heart Frequency.

Key words: Bonelli’s eagle, touching, Heart Frequency.
